Anniversary Trip

My wife Heather and I are thinking about taking a second honeymoon for our tenth anniversary.  This trip will be in 2013, but we are the type of people that plan way ahead.  We are going Monday evening to speak with travel agent about our plans.  For our honeymoon we went to Rome and Venice, Italy.  It was such an amazing trip that we still talk about today.

What I want to ask everyone is where should we go this time?  We talked about a return to Italy.  We also have talked about the Caribbean and doing one of the all-inclusive resorts.  I'm not the type to just sit on a beach and take in the sun, but as long as we are together, that is all that matters.

My plan is to try and sway my wife to make a trip to London, England.  I would love to take in a football game (soccer to us Americans) and sit in a pub eating fish and chips and drinking some great English beer.  We talked about many different places, but I'm pushing for Europe.  Please tell me where you think we should go!

  1. Hmmm, that would be a hard decision to make!! I think if you had such an awesome time in Venice and Rome you should do it again! On the other hand, if you really want to go to London (and you think your wife would enjoy it) you should go there. Good luck! I'm sure ya'll will have a great time wherever you go :)

  2. I've always thought Ireland would be a great vacation spot, but maybe I just love the accent. I'm going to Napa Valley this summer with a group of friends. We have lessons with a chef and a visit to a winery planned. Whatever you both decide, I hope you have an amazing time.

  3. I am pretty jealous you were able to go to Rome, I have always wanted to go to Rome. On deciding where to go for the second honeymoon, I would just make sure you AND your wife are happy with the location, because we all know if the wife is'nt happy then it will be a LONG trip.

  4. My husband and I went to Jamaica for our honeymoon. We had a blast. We didn't just sit on the beach all day, although we did some of that. We climbed Dunns River Falls, went sailing, shopping, and zip lining through the mountains. We stayed at an all inclusive resort and there is so much to do. We had a blast. Everything was paid for except extra curricular activities. I am a sun baby so I would lean more towards the beach but I would also go to Rome. I am all about going places I have never been before. I hope whatever yall decide, yall have a great time.

  5. England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. I want to go to Ireland, and I have friends who live in England, so that's a no-brainer for me. Wherever you go, have fun!
