It's that time of the year. The spring cleaning bug has hit our house, or should I say, it has hit my wife. Heather wants to get the windows washed, lawn cleaned up, flower beds weeded and mulched and I have other plans for the weekend.
I want to relax. I'm more than happy to lay on the couch and watch some sports, do some homework and play some PlayStation 3. I had a very busy week with two exams and a paper due so I want to recharge my batteries for the second half of the semester. I also have been fighting a sinus infection that knocked me out Friday.
I wonder who will win the battle of our weekend. I love my wife and I found out a long time ago that if she isn't happy there is absolutely no way that I will be happy. It looks like I'm going to spend the better part of the day mowing the lawn and helping around the house. I hope everyone has as much fun as I do today (yes, I'm being sarcastic).

This is why I'm enjoying my days as a non-married man. I have a girlfriend but I don't live with her like you live with your wife. If my girlfriend gets mad at me, I can always go home. But you have no place to go. I think you made the right decision by helping your wife out. Even though some PS3 and sport watching would be fun, maybe that'll be your reward for helping her.
ReplyDeleteI don't have anyone to boss around. I set the pace here, so today I changed the oil in the lawn tractor and mowed as much of the yard as I could. Washed clothes and hung them on the line to dry. Finished grading essays earlier this morning. Now doing blogs.
ReplyDeleteThis is no time for laziness, though I wish it were!
